I’m feeling a little blue….
I made the decision a few weeks ago to discontinue my yoga classes at the end of this term.
My reason is that since shifting online it’s more difficult to film yoga than meditation videos from home, and I feel there are MUCH better online options for you to choose from.
But I feel blue because
- I know I am letting some people down (for which I apologise sincerely)
- And also because sharing yoga classes have been part of my life for over 3 years. 40 weeks a year – 2-3 classes per week, and I feel relieved I’m letting it go
To be honest I hadn’t realised how much energy it takes out of me to share with groups.
But please don’t get me wrong – It’s been a blessing sharing the wisdom of yoga with you, and I thank you for being there xx
But I was feeling blue noticing HOW relieved I am to let them go, until I realised something…
Are You An Introvert Or An Extrovert?
One thing I can thank Corona lockdown for teaching me is that I’m a definite Introvert.
Unlike Extroverts who thrive and feel energised being in groups of people, us introverts often feel depleted, and drained.
(Quick side note: To all the Extroverts reading this right now – I hope you’re doing OK. I’m sure this isolation has been torture!)
For me, however, I’ve discovered this isolation, and sharing from behind a screen energises me!
So for me, the upside of going online is I’m still able to connect with you (albeit a little differently), and continue to share the wisdom, but without feeling the zap of being in front of a group in person.
But in case you’re wondering – I don’t plan to ever stop sharing this stuff! And ONE DAY AWAY RETREAT will still be in person 🙂
For me it’s like a calling to be part of sharing the wisdom I learn. And it excites me to build an online space for your meditation (and some yoga) goodness.
I’d love to hear if you’ve had a calling you’ve had to evolve with to continue, and if your introvert or extrovert ‘ness’ made a difference.
I hope you’ll forgive me if I’ve disappointed you by discontinuing my in person classes, and yoga online classes,
But ultimately I hope what I will be offering you into the future will be even better!
